DOJ Sues Volkswagen Over Emissions Cheating

Volkswagen's emissions scandal has landed it in some more hot h2o.

Nextcar Bug art The Department of Justice, on behalf of the Ecology Protection Bureau (EPA), on Monday sued Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche for violating EPA standards and Make clean Air Human activity violations.

"Car manufacturers that fail to properly certify their cars and that defeat emission control systems alienation the public trust, endanger public health, and disadvantage competitors," Banana Attorney General John Cruden, of the Justice Department'southward Surroundings and Natural Resources Partition, said in a statement.

The EPA said VW besides violated the Clean Air Act by selling or importing vehicles designed differently from what the visitor originally stated when applying for certification to EPA and the California Air Resource Board.
